Phase 2: The Catchbasin

We have this little patio in the back of the house. It's about 25 x 9, just a concrete slab between our house and the bandroom.

Sometimes, in wet years such as the one we are having right now, it acts as a collection vessel for rainwater, funnelling it into the bandroom, into the crawlspace under the house and into the back door of the garage.

Here's a photo of what that looks like:

A few years back we cut into the concrete and ran a pool drain out to an intricate French Drain system. But still, in really wet years, we have these flash flood scenarios.

So we decided to do something about it.
